We stayed in the Royal Suite on the top floor, and everything worked well. The complex was clean, secure and comfortable, and they serviced our room every day. The beach is about 100 meters away, with the port of Ostia roughly a kilometer in one direction and Ostia's central street about a kilometer the other way. I'd definitely recommend it.

Don't stay at these apartments. They don't deserve even one star, though there's no option to give zero. My partner and I arrived at the GreeD apartments after being told we'd been upgraded to the Royal Suite. The room had no toilet seat, broken lights and no working WiFi anywhere in the building, even though the networks and codes were posted. There was one bath towel for two of us, and the so-called free breakfast had no food at all. I messaged Matteo, the owner, who was on site, asking for help. He did nothing and didn't come to see us or fix anything. The advertising was hugely misleading. Nothing seemed to work, we couldn't get hold of anyone, and it felt like they just wanted our money. Matteo was the worst host I've ever dealt with. He only communicates through WhatsApp and wouldn't meet us face-to-face, even though he was there. I had to leave the keys in the kitchen because getting him to collect them was too much trouble. We were booked for two nights, but before I messaged to say we were leaving, the maids came to clean because another guest was due. It looked like someone else had already been booked into our room. The whole thing was a farce, and the owner showed no shame. GreeD is an apt name for these apartments.

I'd avoid this place. It wasn't worth the money, and the staff weren't professional or polite. There was no WiFi, and you have to collect the key from a different location. At 4 pm, the keys still weren't ready. For a nice hotel by the beach, try Hotel ping pong. The beach is across from it, with restaurants and bars behind.

Our flight was canceled the day before our stay because of a general strike in Italy, so we couldn't come. They refused to return any of our deposit, which was 100% of the cost.
