The main challenge here is getting around without a car. B&B Alla Fiera is in the suburbs, far from central Rome, and public transport takes about 1 hour 30 minutes each way. The local taxi was prohibitively expensive, I paid the equivalent of R$ 200 for a 4-minute ride. The local bus leaves you 2km from the Fiera di Roma pavilion, so the rest is on foot or another very expensive taxi. Getting to public transport can also mean walking along steep streets, so sturdy wheeled luggage is a good idea. There's nowhere nearby to buy groceries or eat, and there's no minibar in the room. Guests also can't use the house refrigerator, which makes it hard to store food or drinks, so plan to eat out before returning. This is a house that rents suites, not a hotel. It was very clean, and the owners were attentive and explained things well, which was the best part of the stay. The simple room and private bathroom were functional, the shower and Wi-Fi were great, but the bed was just okay and the pillow was very high and hard.

I paid €72 for one night, and the room I slept in, if you can call it a room, was awful. I woke up with terrible back pain from a bed base and mattress that should be thrown out. There was no bedside table, only a shelf overhead that I kept banging into, and the wardrobe was tiny, with just one door. I also don't agree that the place is close to the Fiera di Roma. There's a public transport stop nearby, but people told me the bus never stopped there. The woman seemed sure I'd get a taxi from her friend and told me when the bus would come. I waited, but it never showed. Some kind people I met ended up driving me to where I needed to go. Breakfast was poor, without even a bottle of water. I had to make tea with hot water from the tap. The only reason I'm giving one star is that the bathroom was clean. Not recommended, and I would never return.
The room was quiet, comfortable, clean, and smelled lovely, so it was a great place to get some rest. Antonella was a wonderful, helpful host. I had a very positive experience and would stay here again if I'm in the area.
Antonella was incredibly attentive and made me feel right at home, and the room was spotless. I wanted a calm, welcoming stay and that's exactly what I found. Parking was convenient, as were dining and getting to the fair. I couldn't have asked for more. Thanks, Antonella.
I've stayed here twice in a year, both times while accompanying people to a competition my daughter was taking. The property is just 8 minutes from the Fiera di Roma, and easy to reach. Its quiet location is why I came back. Having a peaceful night before a competition really matters, and both people I accompanied had good luck on their stays. The rooms are immaculate, and breakfast has plenty of variety, not just a packaged croissant and coffee like at some B&Bs. There's a fridge, microwave, and a coffee and herbal tea maker. The owner is friendly, easy to talk to, and available if you need anything. There are a couple of excellent restaurants nearby, and parking in front was easy since the road isn't busy. Thanks again to the owner. If we're back, we'll stay with her again. Massimo and Martina
