The room was in poor shape, and the way we were treated made the stay one I can’t recommend. The biggest shock came at 6:56 PM, four minutes before our scheduled 7 PM checkout. We’d paid for late checkout, but the power was cut and it felt like we were being pushed out immediately. After we complained, they agreed to restore it for half an hour so we could put away our last bags. It went off again after only 15 minutes, leaving us to pack by phone flashlight. The blinds were stuck too. The shower had no glass screen, so water spread across the bathroom and into part of the bedroom. The bed was two single beds pushed together, and they kept sliding apart until we fell into the gap. There was dust on the floor and furniture, and a stain on the mattress. After our trip, there wasn’t even a complimentary bottle of water. Before booking, I’d been told on the phone that parking was easy to find in the area, even with white lines. Once we’d paid and arrived, it didn’t match reality. When I called, they said the white-line spaces were always occupied.

The area is quiet, public transport makes the property easy to reach, and the arrival instructions are clear. Inside, it’s clean and has all the comforts you need. An excellent place, managed very well!

The location is a plus: just beyond the city chaos, with good transport connections for a quick trip to the historic center. The place itself felt like a standard B&B run through WhatsApp, with no personal touch. The kettle didn’t work, and they couldn’t sort it out. It would have cost €20 to buy one in a shop, though apparently ordering from Amazon would have been cheaper. Cleanliness was disappointing. The shower drain didn’t work properly, so the bathroom flooded, and the badly designed or installed glass door meant mopping up with towels to avoid slipping. Breakfast was a ticket for coffee and a croissant, supposedly €2.50?, and it was sad and skimpy. For these high prices, more like a high-star hotel than a B&B, the whole experience was very disappointing. A couple of semi-designer furnishings don’t make up for it, and I’d lower my expectations. Even a bottle of water and two glasses would have been a welcome extra. I’m definitely not coming back.

The neighborhood feels residential and away from the tourist crowds. We were visitors too, but it was lovely to spend time where Romans live. We picked the area for its proximity to the Auditorium, just a five-minute walk, and nearby public transport made it easy to get around Rome. We had four perfect days here. The room was spotless, the beds were really comfortable, and the bathroom was superb. The shared kitchen had what you’d need to eat, though we didn’t use it beyond having tea or coffee. We had an Italian-style breakfast at the café downstairs. Check-in by a code sent to our phone was very convenient, especially with our evening flight and no fixed arrival time.
