La Terrazza Di Giulia

A cozy, nice place for a few nights. Check-in at reception went smoothly.

The apartment was elegant and welcoming, and reasonably maintained, though not to a high standard. Some service details need work: we couldn’t find towels and waited several hours for them. The water tank was broken too, so we had to make do to avoid running water. Management needs improvement, and the office’s courtesy should be reviewed. Some issues were only sorted out thanks to the service staff. I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s a last resort.

Finding parking nearby was extremely difficult, and there’s no dedicated parking if you arrive by car. Giulia's Terrace is a first-floor apartment in central Ostia, with three double bedrooms. One of them also has a small room with a daybed. The shared terrace looks over the little square out front, with a fake vine canopy and several tables for dining. Breakfast isn’t included. The building is new, but I didn’t think it was very well maintained. The TV and bathroom ceiling light didn’t work, there were no towel racks, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and the walls were dirty in several places. I had a good stay in the "Suite" room overall, but plenty could be improved. Some details may seem small, yet they matter for a relaxing, comfortable stay.

The one good thing was that the room was clean. We’d booked a nice little room, but first had to walk across town to pick up the key. Then they moved us to a much less suitable room without asking. There was just one small towel for the two of us, and communication was very poor. Such a shame.
