My Room Roma

The best part after busy days in Rome was coming back to My Room Roma. It's close to the train and bus station, and to a nice free beach, so you can find what you need in Ostia and more broadly around the Roma area. The shared garden is beautiful, the internet worked perfectly, and every room has its own nice bathroom. The apartment was spotless, with fairly new furniture, bed linen, and towels. Breakfast was provided, better than at some pricier hotels in Roma, and coffee, tea, cookies, juice, and other things were available during the day in the shared kitchen. You could cook there or use the fridge. Fabio, the manager, is very kind and shared helpful tips about restaurants, beaches, and airport routes. He even let us use his supermarket discounts. We hugged before I left. He's like the Italian uncle you've never had. Daniele, the owner, also cares a lot about the property and responds when you have questions. My advice: if you're visiting Rome to sightsee, consider staying in Ostia Lido, especially at My Room Roma. It's really close and cheap to get to, including from the airport. And if you're in Rome for business, take a few days off and head to My Room Roma. It's on my list for another visit!
