I don’t understand the 2.7 star rating, because everything was wonderful for me. They tidied my cozy room and brought fresh towels every day. The service was really good. I only stopped here for one night and ended up really liking it, and so did my family. The location inside Rome is great, so you can stay the night and head out to see the city during the day. I highly recommend it!

The rooms aren’t perfect. Our bathroom wouldn’t flush properly, and there was no kettle, but the red-haired receptionist was very polite and quickly found a solution. She did everything she could to help, and her English was really fluent, which is pretty rare in hotels of this caliber. The location is a strong point, close to both the subway station and city center. I’d definitely book again as a place to rest and leave my luggage when I’m back.

The location is handy, with the Colosseum and train station within walking distance. Staff are decent, and having a 24/7 desk is useful if you need it. Room turnaround service was okay and careful. But the room was terrible. There wasn’t a duvet, just a paper-thin sheet and an itchy red blanket that felt awful against the skin. The AC is controlled at the main desk, and it was incredibly noisy all night with a horrible sound that made sleep difficult. The furniture was very dated, chipped, and marked; the chair was so uncomfortable it wasn’t worth sitting on. The door was hard to open, and they still use mechanical keys instead of cards like 99% of modern hotels. Shower pressure was so weak it was like standing in the rain. I’ve had pees with more pressure. Pay more and stay somewhere else. This place is terrible and should be a 1* hotel.

The staff were nice and very helpful, and the beds were comfy. Our basic room had a fridge, which was nice, though a kettle would have been a plus. You’re close to all the sites, with the train station just down the road, so it’s very handy. For the price, you can’t complain.

The room was a good size and comfortable, and it was cleaned each day with fresh towels and bedding. The shower took a little while to warm up, but then got very hot. It’s about a 15-minute walk in a straight line from Termini station.
