Carlo was a huge help with my very late check-in. He emailed detailed instructions and stayed on the phone to talk me through the process. The inside door's latches can stick after hours, so turn the key all the way counter clockwise, wiggle the door, then push. It took me 5-10 minutes to work out. The entrance isn't clearly marked either: look for the big doors across from the restaurant in the alley, with a small keypad. Also, bring euros for the city tax, since they don't take cards. The historic sights are a bit of a walk but easily doable, and there are shops and great food options nearby. If you have time, try one of the Il Maritozzo Rosso locations for the best carbonara. I had a great stay and highly recommend it. Carlo is great.

The Spanish Steps and metro are less than a five-minute walk away. Carlo was a phenomenal host, smiling and waiting for us even though we arrived two hours later than expected. He'd also got our room ready before check-in. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Rome.

Our suite was really big, and the location is great. The hotel isn't bad, though it's not the place to choose if you're looking for luxury. Carlo is very polite and respectful, and helped whenever we needed something. We appreciated him.

Carlo, the manager, was kind and helpful, sharing useful tips and helping with restaurant and attraction reservations. The Wi-Fi worked really well. The location is hard to beat, with the metro and Spanish Steps just a few minutes away and pretty much anything you'd want to see nearby. A great place to stay in Rome, especially for couples planning to explore a lot. Highly recommend.
