A World Aparts - Torre Argentina Apartments

Our apartment rental came with vouchers for breakfast here. The staff were friendly and there was a lovely range of pastries, sandwiches, rolls, and drinks. A few little birds were hoping to get our crumbs!

We were four people looking for cocktails at 9:30 PM. A staff member outside was inviting people in, as is common in Rome, so we decided to give the bar a try. The room was underwhelming, with cramped tables in a half-basement and little atmosphere. The decor didn't feel welcoming, and our server seemed uninterested. At 10:20 PM, after our drinks arrived, we were told the bar would be closing soon. Nobody had warned us it closed early. I paid without leaving a tip because the experience had been poor. Getting out was awkward too, as outdoor chairs blocked the path and we had to squeeze past them. Then an employee, or maybe the owner, called us “rude” as we left. Maybe it was because nobody said goodbye, or perhaps because of the tip. The service, atmosphere, and staff attitude left a bad impression. I wouldn't return or recommend it.

I was charged €9.50 for a cappuccino and an espresso, even though the espresso's regular price is only €1.10. It felt like they doubled the price when customers weren't paying attention. I think they're taking advantage of tourists and trying to cheat unsuspecting people. I wouldn't trust this place. Stay away if you don't want to be ripped off.

Really good pizza, and the people working there are friendly. I love this place.
