Residenza Vaticana

Paolo let us leave our bags in storage on the day we were leaving. The accommodation was as described, right in the center of the Prati area. It's small, but has all the main amenities, with the space used really well. We also had the pleasant surprise of daily room tidying.

Paolo, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful. The rooms were spotless and had every comfort, and the location is very convenient for the city center. A wonderful experience, highly recommended!

The owner was very friendly and got in touch the day before to make handing over the keys as convenient as possible. We could also leave our bags after checkout and collect them later. For the price, this accommodation is well worth recommending, especially if your main goal is exploring Rome. The Vatican is easy to reach on foot, and you can walk to ancient Rome or take the nearby subway. There are lots of good restaurants around for any time of day. Rooms are small, but that's fine since you're hardly in them. They were clean and cleaned during our stay, though hearing the other rooms being cleaned so early was disruptive to sleep. The room has a TV and good air conditioning. Both the bathroom and shower are small, but that wasn't an issue for us.

Paolo was rude and didn't provide the coffee maker or kettle listed among the amenities. On our last day, he put our things out of the room at 9:30 in the morning, even though checkout was at 11. I asked him to explain, but I couldn't understand what he said. I needed to use a toilet, and he didn't offer me one. His behavior was unacceptable, so I didn't deal with him any further. Be careful if you're considering staying here. I wouldn't recommend it.
