Residenza Tritone a Fontana di Trevi

The room was fantastic, and the location is hard to beat for visiting central Rome.

I arrived at a location that didn't feel safe and couldn't get through the door. I asked people nearby and called the “hotel” several times, but nobody reached out or confirmed anything. This isn't a real hotel. It was the worst travel experience I've had. Don't get scammed the way I did.

I've stayed at Residenza Imperiale Superior in Rome around three times. The rooms look beautiful and modern, and the location at Via del Tritone 46 is fantastic, right in the city center. That's about where the good points stop. There's no closet, so with a big suitcase or two people, most of your things have to stay in your luggage. It feels like forced minimalism. The Samsung Smart TVs also don't have an internet connection, which makes the “smart” part pretty pointless in 2025. Then on departure day, the owner starts calling the maid at 10:00 in the morning to remind you to leave. If you want any peace that morning, apparently you have to be up at dawn or you'll be politely pushed out of bed. There's plenty of potential here, but management feels superficial and doesn't show much respect for guests.

We stumbled across this place and were glad we did. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. We'll be back, and I'd definitely recommend it.
