Villa On the Edge of Town

There’s plenty of space inside, and the charming decor makes this house in a quiet residential area feel welcoming. The outdoor courtyard is pretty but was so neglected that eating outside wasn’t possible. There’s no washer or dryer, only two of the three bedrooms have air conditioning, and there are no door screens at night, so it got quite hot. It’s a convenient base away from Rome, about 50 minutes from the city and 15 minutes from the airport.

I booked this villa for my family on Booking.com, and for what I paid, I didn’t expect the overall quality to be so high. It’s a 160-square-meter home in a residential area, just a few minutes' drive from Rome, with lovely furnishings, many connected to musical culture. The owner explains how to use the kitchen at check-in and is available if you need anything. The kitchen is very spacious, with a large refrigerator, an oven, and all the essentials. There are three bedrooms: one with a standard double bed and two with French double beds, the Italian size of a queen-size bed. There’s also a safe, a balcony, and several closets for clothes. There are two bathrooms, one a half bathroom. The shower/tub combo is large and generally quite clean. There’s a TV in the living room and two more in two of the bedrooms. Outside, there’s a small garden with a veranda and barbecue. A piano and a guitar are available too. Highly recommended.

The house is spacious and welcoming, though it feels dated. Mr. Simone was friendly and helpful. It was a good stay, but I’d suggest a bit more cleaning and upkeep.

A quiet, nicely equipped apartment with a parking space. The owner was attentive and friendly. I’d happily recommend it.
