For the price, this was perfect for a night on my motorcycle trip. The villa had a lovely setting, lots of charm, and a large, clean room. It was very peaceful, and the owners were really nice. There’s a coffee machine, but no food available. The owners suggested El Patio, a bar and restaurant 2.8 km away. You’ll need your own vehicle to stay here.

We picked it because it’s 22 km from the airport, but even prepared for Rome traffic, it took us two hours to drive there. I wouldn’t recommend it as an airport hotel. The house seems badly maintained now, though it must have been stunning in its day. The lobby and outdoor tables felt abandoned, as if nobody used them anymore. Our room was clean, and the owner was nice. He was the only person we saw during the stay.

Villa Strampelli, on the outskirts of Pomezia, has expansive gardens and comfortable, practical rooms, with a peaceful setting and beautiful scenery. It brings together traditional charm and modern luxury, making it a relaxing place to stay. The host’s warm welcome and attentive service are what really stand out, with the details of the stay carefully looked after. A lovely choice for a romantic break or a chance to recharge, where comfort and tranquility go hand in hand.

We stayed for 13 days, and the villa and grounds were ideal for our family. Don Alfredo was a terrific host and made sure we had everything we needed. Rome city centre is about 14 miles away, the airport 15 miles, and the beach around 10 miles, so there’s plenty nearby to explore in Italy. You do need a car. We enjoyed our stay and will likely come back in a year or two.

The place is beautiful, peaceful and very clean. The kind cleaning lady and owner Alfredo made me feel at home. I’ll definitely come back ❤
