Baita Del Beniamino

Manuel was a kind, attentive host, and the cabin was already warm when we arrived, with firewood laid in the fireplace. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The bedroom has a large closet, the bathroom is spacious with a shower, and the kitchen has practically all the dishes and cookware you need. The fireplace is beautiful and gives off plenty of heat, with central heating as well. Outside there’s a gazebo, sauna, and barbecue, and friendly cats often come by to watch through the window 😁 We spent a weekend for two at Baita del Beniamino in early December, bringing our dog, which was no problem at all. It’s a very pet-friendly place. The location is beautiful, though the road there is narrow and has several hairpin turns, so take care if another car is coming. The road itself isn’t demanding, but snow could make it especially tricky for anyone unfamiliar with it. I recommend this magical cabin in either summer or winter.

The owners’ hospitality deserves a special mention. The lady welcomed us so warmly and had prepared the house thoughtfully for our little girl. We’re hoping to return this year, and for many years after that. We spent a memorable long weekend there in December 2021 for the Immaculate Conception, with my wife, our one-year-old daughter, and our dog. Snow covered the mountains around the chalet, which is beautifully cared for and furnished in Alpine style. It felt like a fairytale, and our daughter saw her first snowfall. We had a great time and relaxed. The place has all the comforts and is easy to reach, while still feeling pleasantly secluded from the rest of the world. Roncegno is about 20 minutes away, and a few more kilometers takes you to Levico, where we came across the lovely Christmas markets in the city gardens.

We loved the cats that came to visit during the day, and the hike to Lake Prese was beautiful. You can set off for it right from the cabin. Inside, the fireplace made our evenings unforgettable, and the wood throughout gives the place a cozy, private feel. It’s tastefully furnished, with the rustic mountain-cabin atmosphere alongside all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. The courtyard has breathtaking mountain views and an outdoor barbecue. The owner was exceptionally helpful and courteous, taking care of everything.

We’ve come back for a second stay because the cabin is beautiful, the sauna feels like a luxury, and the owner is so kind.
