Agriturismo La Mignola

The restaurant was a wonderful surprise. The food was delicious, and dinner on the terrace with the mountain view felt so romantic. Since Enrico used to be a butcher and they raise their own pigs there, the meat was excellent quality. More than anything, the family's sincere warmth and generosity made our nine days at Agriturismo La Mignola unforgettable. Enrico, Monica, Eleonora and Irene were incredibly helpful, and everything felt authentic and never forced. We arrived with high expectations and left even more impressed. I can't recommend the place enough. The road in is very bumpy, and we had no phone reception. The wifi was pretty weak too. If you like living more offline, though, that might actually be a plus.

Dinner alone would be enough to bring me back: I ate at the restaurant every night, and the Italian food and home-baked bread were fantastic. The family made me feel like a friend, and every detail of this renovated agriturismo seems cared for with so much love. I loved the comfortable, clean rooms, especially the mountain view through the open bedroom doors and the shower windows. The rain shower was lovely, as were the handmade lamps and Idea Toscana bath products, which are natural and organic, without harsh chemicals like SLS, parabens, mineral oils, or silicones. Nights were so quiet that I slept deeply and felt restored. The pool is lovely, and the views are beautiful all day. There are plenty of interesting places within driving distance. This has become my own little piece of paradise in Tuscany, and I hope I can return many times. I've stayed in quite a few places, and this is one of the most wonderful.

The mountain setting was lovely. We went for lunch and enjoyed everything, but the bill was disappointing. For what we got, it felt very expensive.
