Hotel Ellymar

The room was clean and roomy enough for three, and we had a real pleasure staying here. Gabriella made us feel at ease right away, almost like part of the family. Breakfast was delicious, and the lady serving it gave excellent service, though I didn't get her name, sorry! It's also well placed for both the beach and the city center.

We stayed two nights, and the staff were friendly and helpful with my requests. Breakfast was good, and there is parking beside the property. The location is excellent for getting to the nearby beaches or city center. The one downside was having no elevator, which would be especially useful with luggage.

There are waterfront restaurants and bars in the area, and the beaches are very close. From here, Volterra, Livorno, and Pisa are about 40-50 minutes away by car for history and culture. The hotel is well maintained, with a reception desk at the entrance. Rooms are reasonably spacious and clean, with private bathrooms, air conditioning, TVs, and refrigerators/freezers. Some have sea views from the windows. Continental breakfast has sweet and savory choices for different tastes, and the price is more than fair for the service. It's rated three stars, but the location and the courtesy and helpfulness of the owner/manager and staff make it worth at least four.

The breakfast room is a real gem, especially with Anna's attentive service. Gabriella puts so much care into her business, and it shows in every little detail. The welcoming rooms were spotlessly clean, too. A delightful hotel in a strategic spot in Vada. We'll definitely return! Alessio and Valentina
