Getting to the town center takes just over 1.5 km, or about a 20-minute walk. Along Via Aurelia near the apartment there are four shops and five restaurants. The paved promenade follows the city frontage, with tiny, crowded beach clubs, bars, and a couple of restaurants. The port area is more interesting. The nearby beaches are almost nonexistent, so forget about Tuscany's wide beaches unless you're willing to drive. All things considered, these were NOT the best vacations of our lives. Quite the opposite. The apartment faces the main road, which stays busy until late, and the railway is about 200 meters behind it. Trains are very audible as they pass, especially at night. There's barely any airflow inside, so we had to sleep with the windows open. The wind blows outside, but somehow doesn't reach the apartment. They provide a fan, but it makes things worse. In summer, the place is hell at night, and you sweat even when lying still. I also found that upsetting to think about with the mattresses and pillows, since other guests had slept and sweated on them. Each apartment has a garage, but the entrances are very awkward, with pillars on both sides. They're unnumbered and first come, first served, unless someone takes two, as happened during our first few days when two couples were staying in the same apartment. Furnishings are sparse. The two people sleeping in the living area have nowhere to put their clothes, so they leave their suitcases open and the apartment becomes a mess. There's room for more storage, perhaps in the hallway, with a chest of drawers in the living area and another closet in the bedroom. The existing closet is tiny, and half of it is taken up by the two pillows for the sofa bed and a couple of spare quilts. At least there's a dresser and two bedside tables. The owner should install at least some air conditioning. In summer, the apartment is like a sauna day and night.

We stayed the first week of June 2025, two adults and a kitten, and plan to return. The value for money was excellent, the location was great, and the outside area was very clean. Inside, it looked very nice for what we needed, was spotless, and smelled fresh from the first day, thanks to Mrs. Tatiana's careful work. The indoor garages were really useful and convenient. Many thanks to Mr. Riccardo and Jacopo for taking care of all our requests.

We paid €1,440 for August 17th to 24th, but arrived to find no sheets and no microwave, even though the microwave appeared in the photo. They sent a link for apartment no. 6, then gave us a different apartment when we got there, and that one had no washing machine. As someone who works in vacation rentals, I know how this is supposed to work, and I can say this apartment isn't fit for vacation rentals. A family basically has to bring everything from home, even their linens. It's unheard of. A terrible experience, and that's why I gave it one star.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable for two families, and the location is good. But the lack of air conditioning upstairs, a dishwasher, and a washing machine is hard to understand. There's only one washing machine, shared by eight apartments and kept in the basement. In July, the house stays at 30 degrees Celsius day and night. Get this sorted immediately.
