A great place to stay, with a comfortable bed and a friendly host.

That shared fridge was a real problem. It was completely dirty, and every so often we found it unplugged for some reason, so our food went bad. The bathroom was tiny and in poor shape, with a rusty shower head and a door that kept hitting the toilet. Cleanliness in general could have been better too. The room we got wasn't among the photos, and although we asked the owners to send pictures of it, they never did. We could hear every noise and movement, and quiet hours were never respected. We were also unhappy about the packaged snacks. It's fine for a B&B not to serve breakfast, but we don't want to put those snacks in. My partner and I spent our holiday here, and it was a bit of a nightmare. More needs to be done to make the place livable.

There’s a real artistic feel to the spacious, beautiful rooms, and kindness seems to come naturally here. They make everyone feel comfortable, from grandparents right through to the grandchildren. We were already thinking about coming back as we left.

The welcome and thoughtful service make this B&B feel like a little haven. It’s full of details, from fresh, dried, and preserved flowers to coral, shells, Tunisian lamps, antique keys, and objects from different parts of Italy. There’s also a distinctive wrought-iron gate that once belonged to Edmond Rostand, plus vivid signs and many hand-painted touches by master artist Maria Cristina Manetti. All of it sits in an immaculate setting. It’s a simple guesthouse on a quiet street in the town center, only a few meters from the sea, and it has been recently renovated. There’s a shared living room and six roomy bedrooms. Each has its own furnishings and name, Tramontana, Libeccio, Scirocco, Maestrale, Ponente, and Grecale. Two rooms have terraces looking onto a peaceful courtyard garden, where you can sometimes feel the crisp, salty sea air. Every room has a welcoming atmosphere, and the place’s courtesy and warm hospitality made for a very pleasant stay.
