The setting has some appeal: an attractive historic building, a large garden, and an interesting interior. Still, the room has no air conditioning, and opening the windows brings in terrible train noise from the nearby railway. I can't picture staying there in hotter summer weather. Breakfast was very average, too. Unless you're especially interested in museums, I honestly don't see a reason to pick this place.

We only booked at the last minute to cover a gap in our vacation, but ended up wishing we could have stayed longer. The old villa is lovely, with lots of green space outside, and the staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant next door was closed because of COVID, so we didn't get to try it.

The apartment feels like stepping into another time, with a striking interior, a kitchen, and spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly, and everything was clean. But moving in and the bed itself were a disaster.

A lovely old castle in a good spot. Mornings can get noisy if someone is staying above you, or when the cleaners vacuum the tiled or wooden floors. There’s almost no sound insulation.

The garden is a lovely place to spend time, and the restaurant serves delicious food. Inside, the villa is full of character, art, and remarkable decor, with superb rooms. We also received a warm, gracious, and friendly welcome.
