Il Giglio Casa Albergo

Although the furnishings are tasteful, the property feels old and may not have been maintained well. There’s so much humidity in the rooms that the musty smell lingered, and we had to leave a window slightly open all night for air. Mold covered the walls and wooden ceiling in the upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bathroom had a leak, and a shower enclosure would be more convenient. There was no shower gel or bidet towel. For a modern welcome, I’d expect at least a free bottle of water, a coffee maker with a couple of pods, and a TV. We’re sorry to leave a negative review.

The rooms at "Il Giglio Casa Albergo" were clean, carefully maintained, and each had its own bathroom. They exceeded our expectations, and the price was very reasonable. It’s in Rotondella, a beautiful village in Basilicata. The owner was friendly and helpful from the start, and even declined to repay us for a small bit of damage we accidentally caused. We definitely recommend staying here.

The photos caught my eye, so my husband and I booked without hesitation. The property looked just as it had in the pictures and in the many reviews, which also praised the services and the owner’s skill, helpfulness, friendliness, and hospitality. We felt at home straight away, and Rocco’s father’s book was a heartfelt gift. Highly recommended. See you soon, Laisa (Calabria).

Mr. Rocco Mauro is warm and helpful, and the food is very good. The house itself is lovely, with beautiful furnishings, and it was clean and comfortable. If you’re after a few peaceful days, I’d absolutely recommend it. Go, you won’t regret it.
