La Slitta

The homemade cakes at breakfast were delicious, and the owners made us feel welcome from the start. We spent two nights here in a lovely place with clean, newly finished rooms. It’s a handy base for Fenestrelle Fort and, especially if you ride motorcycles, the nearby trails, including the Assietta. The owner rides too and can suggest where to go. Thanks again, we’ll be back.

That birthday gift turned into a wonderful stay. The garden is lovely, with a pergola and outdoor seating, deckchairs, a wooden swing, a shaded hammock, an attractive well, and antique furnishings. There’s also a covered courtyard area with an oven and tables for eating outside, plus covered parking for bikes and motorcycles. Breakfast was generous, with both sweet and savory options made using ingredients grown on site. The place itself is comfortable, clean, and carefully maintained, and Carlo and Angela are friendly, welcoming, helpful, and discreet. We stayed August 8-9, 2024.

My family of five had a room that suited us well, which I especially appreciated. The welcome was so warm, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared with homemade cake and jam. There’s a lovely garden, parking on site, and they gave us great suggestions for walks and restaurants. I also enjoyed being able to buy local wine, which was free.

The owners were so welcoming and kind, and we’d happily return. We spent one night in a cozy, spotless room with the rustic mountain feel we like. The breakfast buffet had a great choice of sweet and savory things. Definitely recommended.
