Ermellina vitto e alloggio

We couldn’t have asked for more at Ermellina. Francesca made a delicious breakfast and added thoughtful personal touches. The room was beautiful, and the location was handy, just a short walk from the train. We’ll definitely come back!

Francesca is a very welcoming host, and the place is a handy base near Modena for work or sightseeing. The breakfast was excellent, with several homemade cakes and all the usual things you’d want. Everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged, with lots of care given to the small details.

Rubiera worked well for us, with easy train trips to Modena and Parma, where we spent some time. The breakfasts were good, and Francesca let us use the kitchen ourselves on a day we had to leave very early for an excursion. She was easy to reach in person or by email whenever we had a question or needed something, and was very flexible. Her years in hospitality really showed. Everyone in my family appreciated her warm service and upbeat personality. My son says she made the best egg he’s ever had, and I agree. The rooms were spectacular, the best we had for size, style, and cleanliness on our whole trip from Amsterdam to the Amalfi coast. If you’re staying in the area, this is the place to be, no question.

We spent two nights at Francesca’s beautiful hotel and were thoroughly spoiled by her hospitality. The spacious rooms have tasteful vintage furniture, comfortable beds, and a well-stocked minibar. Everything we needed was there. Breakfast was delicious, with pastries, fresh fruit, and different coffees to choose from. Francesca answered every question and suggested places to eat around Modena and nearby. She also booked us a visit to a balsamic production. We brought our 21kg dog, and he was welcome everywhere and even had a water bowl waiting. The hotel is dog friendly. It’s a perfect base for Parma, Modena, and the surrounding area, with free parking nearby. Arnaldo is just 100m away, which is especially handy if you’re planning to eat there. I can’t recommend Francesca’s enough. Thanks again for a lovely stay, we’ll be back!
