Having breakfast outside on our first morning felt magical. With the fresh air, sunshine, and distant bells, we were completely at ease. That experience, along with the friendly people in Salemi, made our whole Sicily trip better. B&B Ai Cipressi Salemi is a real hidden gem on the island. Paolina looked after us wonderfully over our four nights in May of 2018. She made us feel welcome the whole time, and helped with breakfast, laundry, and dinner on some occasions. Her homemade jams were outstanding. She also knew the Northwest area of Sicily well and helped us choose places to visit. The house and our room felt like something out of a film, book, or magazine. It has the character of a 200 year old house and the charm of a Sicilian country home. The yard was in beautiful bloom, and the fruit orchard made it feel like a country estate. The house is actually just around the corner from Salemi.

The owner is unbelievably friendly, and her breakfast jams are delicious. The price is reasonable, too. This surreal, incredible place sits surrounded by greenery and feels like stepping back into the 19th century. If you want peace and quiet, it's perfect. I highly recommend it.
