Apartment in Salerno Parco

A modern apartment, though on the small side.

The seventh-floor view was stunning, and the bed was very comfortable. The room and spacious bathroom were clean, with electric shutters, a TV and a large fridge. I have nothing to complain about and would gladly come back.

The owner was kind and courteous, and the place looks new, but there were serious problems. A sewer smell came from outside and reached inside, and the walls were so thin we could hear people in neighboring rooms breathing. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were practically nonexistent, and there were no bedside lamps, just two bulbs attached in a way that seemed dangerous, with a risk of a short circuit. The bath linen was old and torn. It was more than 800 meters on foot from the center, not 200 meters as the listing said. Given our stay, the price was far too high. A lot needs changing, first at the property and especially in its description. I don’t think I’d return.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable, very clean, and had a little kitchenette and a balcony with incredible views. Shops are all around, and the central neighborhood is noisy, though the apartment itself could still be quiet. The owners welcomed us warmly and gave us directions for exploring Salerno and elsewhere. It’s about 20 minutes from the city center and Salerno port; there’s a bus too, but we mostly walked. I highly recommend it.
