B&B L'Una di Notte

The rooms were beautiful, and the owner was a very nice man. We were so happy with our stay. The location was really good too. Highly recommended.

The room was lovely, and the morning market below had great produce. There’s also a fantastic shop selling sliced meats and cheese.

I own a B&B too, and this place really doesn’t provide breakfast. There’s no coffee voucher, just a rather sad make-your-own Nescafé in the kitchen and two teabags. The owner doesn’t leave proper cups or glasses either, only a shabby paper cup. There are two packaged croissants. If you’re trying to keep the price down, you still need to provide guests with coffee. The shower downstairs is badly rusted, and cleanliness is poor, really almost nonexistent, with no daily cleaning. You’re left to clean for yourself. I travel a lot and run my own place, and I’d look elsewhere.

The location is excellent, close to the center, and the new windows keep outside noise out very well. The owner is kind and extremely helpful, and breakfast at a nearby little café and pastry shop was satisfying. The apartment is on the fifth floor of a quiet building with an elevator, though it’s very slow going up and sometimes costs 20 cents. There are two very spacious rooms, each with a large shower in its own bathroom. But the smell was unbearable from arrival through the whole stay, and nobody could get rid of it. It needs to be dealt with because it made the stay unpleasant. The furnishings look nice but aren’t well kept; a stained sofa would be better with a cover that gets cleaned now and then. Dust was everywhere, even on the radiator. There’s no heating, and the air conditioner has no remote. Still, apart from the bathroom, the temperature wasn’t bad.
