B&B Petros Room Camere

We were left waiting by the road at check-in, with no word from the owner. I sent lots of messages and got no reply for an hour. The rooms were below ground and smelled damp. At 10 the next morning, someone knocked loudly and told us to move to another room. No one explained why. It was smaller and had no kitchen, and wasn't an improvement at all. Maybe another couple had been given our first room. At least there were some croissants and orange juice, but nobody cleaned the room. I also left my clothes in the wardrobe in the first room and had no long trousers to wear on the flight to the airport. That's my mistake, but I still can't see a reasonable reason why a couple should have to move rooms just after waking up. Wouldn't recommend it.

The room is nice, and they allow pets, so I brought my cat. They clean every three days. Breakfast was pretty poor, honestly: packaged food and pod coffee. I'd suggest working something out with a nearby bar. I had a delicious cappuccino and cornetto for €4.50, much better than the "free" breakfast. The location is great if you're fit enough for stairs and a short, steep hill. Otherwise, avoid it. The bedroom is also where the kitchenette is, and it's dark there. There were a couple of small Ikea lamps beside the bed; I moved one into the kitchen because that corner was too dim to prepare anything. A simple pendant light would help. There's a shared hall outside the room with a washer and dryer for all three rooms. It has no ventilation, and even though the dryer vents outside, it gets very humid. I had an asthma attack every time laundry was done.

We were left without anywhere to stay after a very hostile situation at our previous B&B. They helped us in the middle of the night, kindly and efficiently. I'm hugely grateful for their consideration and service.

A lovely welcome and a perfect base for seeing the city, going to the local beach, and reaching the train station. Breakfast was served in the room, which had a coffee machine and AC. There was also a fridge, though it didn't work.
