B&B Salerno Center

After a six-hour train ride from Venice, my family and I arrived at 9 pm with seven heavy suitcases. Enrico met us at the entrance to B&B Salerno centre and cheerfully helped get everything into the elevator. He was genuinely welcoming, answered our questions quickly, and checked in to see that all was well. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and roomy, with an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, TV, and Wi-Fi in each. I think Enrico's B&B is fairly new, and he's done a great job. I'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it.

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and Enrico went out of his way several times to help us. The location is ideal, between the high street and the seafront. We used the B&B parking, which closes at 8:30 pm, and paid less than half what street parking would have cost. We were really happy here, and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend it.

We reported the problems to the host, but got no real response. The coffee machine didn't provide the hot drinks described, and the bathroom mirror had no light. Instead, there was exposed wiring where the spotlight should have been, making it hard to shave or manage normal hygiene. The host said previous guests had vandalized the light; when we asked to move rooms, we were told the others had no mirror lights either. The bathroom also had a step and a slippery floor. I slipped and fell while getting out of the shower. When I reported the injury, the host replied that the bathroom complied with regulations and had a national identification number, without showing concern. I found that unprofessional and unethical. This is a bed and breakfast in name, but the second B is missing. I would avoid it.

We were happy with our one-night stay. It was nice and clean, though fairly noisy late into the night. There seems to be a disco or bar nearby.
