Corallo Rooms was a good pick, with a great location just 5 meters from Salerno's main shopping street. The beach and ports are a pleasant walk away, with nice views along the way. I stayed in the large room with the red wall and terrace. It seemed recently refurbished, looked very nice, and was spacious, with a large, comfortable bed. The soundproofing was outstanding and kept the room quiet the whole time. The host was friendly and helpful, though communication was difficult without Italian. The terrace is shared with one other room and has no view, since it's in an open space between buildings, which was disappointing. For such a large room, I missed practical things like somewhere to hang towels, an ironing table, luggage space, and somewhere to hang clothes and towels. Being able to dry towels and swimsuits is a big plus in summer. Breakfast is served at the bar next door. The waiters are friendly, but it's limited to one coffee and one croissant.

Everyone was friendly, but the stay wasn't quite what I'd hoped for. The room looked better in the pictures and was rather dark. It wasn't as clean as I expected, and even though the bathroom had been newly renovated, it needed a more thorough clean. The air conditioner was very loud and leaking fluid, with the TV mounted directly below it, which concerned me. Opening the window was tricky too.

The location is central, and both the room and bathroom were nice. But over the week, they only cleaned the room on the first morning. The towels were never changed, the toilet paper ran out, and there were leftovers from the previous guest in the fridge when we arrived.
