The big, clean room had a comfortable bed, a TV, and a spotless, spacious bathroom. They provided a few towels. In the apartment's kitchen, you can help yourself to snacks, croissants, coffee, juice, and other things throughout the day. It's a five-minute walk to the main street, and the train station is about 15 minutes away on foot. The owner opens the building door and sends you the apartment code, with the key waiting in the room. You communicate with the owner on WhatsApp. At checkout, just leave the keys on the desk and pay the city tax. All recommendations if you're visiting Salerno.
Fair price, clean rooms, and communication was easy. Recommended!
There's a spacious kitchen that opens onto a veranda, a lovely place for breakfast or a meal with a beautiful view. The room itself was very welcoming, well arranged, and above all, clean!!! The hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming too. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back.
At Marco's, the room was bright, had a sea view, and came with a private bathroom. The central location is excellent and well connected, and independent access was very convenient. Cleaning was prompt, the linen was changed regularly, and the host was friendly and always available. The furnishings are simple, and a few small repairs are needed, but it was a pleasant stay overall.
The room faced the street from the first floor, and every morning at 5:00 we were woken by the street-cleaning vehicles. We had to leave the car in a paid garage because there was no parking, something the accommodation offer hadn't made clear. That was an unplanned, significant expense. For breakfast, despite having paid for it, we went to a bar instead. The biscuits and supermarket snacks included in the room rate were a truly shameful offering. The bathroom was filthy when we arrived and was cleaned only after we complained. Underneath, the toilet seat was yellowed and disgusting, the shower hose was rusty, and the toilet leaked. The shower stall was so small it was hard to fit, with no shelves for detergent. There was no shower mat, and we were told to use a towel. It took a while to find a clean towel to dry ourselves. Plaster above the baseboard was peeling, and ants were all over both the bedroom and bathroom. The closet had old, sticky hangers, so we had to buy some to avoid keeping our clothes in suitcases for 10 days. Be wary of the website photos. The place was truly squalid. Find somewhere else, there are plenty of options in Salerno. The owner never appeared, perhaps he was on vacation at a better bed and breakfast. We will NEVER return. You can answer me about breakfast while ignoring the cleanliness, ants, noise, dilapidated bathroom, and parking that wasn't clearly mentioned in your offer. I ASSURE YOU that at the usual high-season price in Matera and elsewhere, bed and breakfasts offered everyone delicious local products, including cakes baked by the owner's wife. There are also arrangements with bars, but you're evidently ignoring that option or don't know about it. Stop accusing me of lying, or I'll sue you for defamation. EVERYTHING I WROTE is TRUE, and you know it because we spoke by phone. The call is recorded in your records, so don't you dare claim that what I wrote isn't true.
