Hotel Bruman Salerno

We booked at the last minute after our travel plans changed, and it worked out well. The rooms were clean and had great air conditioning, and the staff were friendly. The front desk also gave us good restaurant recommendations nearby. It's basically attached to the train station, so I'd say it's best for a quick stop in Salerno. For a longer stay, I'd look for somewhere farther from the station.

We'd stayed at this hotel before, but this time they refused when we asked to let our child use the toilet. They did refuse politely, but I still didn't like it. I think a hotel owner has a responsibility and shouldn't turn away a tourist who needs the toilet.

The shower had mold all around it, and we couldn't tell whether it was related to the loud dripping sound in our room. When we first called the front desk, the person said they couldn't hear it, even though it was incredibly loud. They then promised to fix it the next day, but in the morning we were told the room had an issue they couldn't resolve. They offered to move us, but we'd paid for an upgraded room and they wouldn't discount a downgrade. We used white noise on our phone to sleep for the rest of the trip. The staff weren't friendly and didn't seem to care about any of the problems. I'd never stay here again or recommend it. There are plenty of other three star hotels that I'm sure offer better service. For me, this place was a zero for service, if that were an option.

We especially appreciated Mirko's service. He went above and beyond to arrange an excellent transfer to Napoli airport. The location is perfect, just steps from the train station and right in the city centre. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of options and tasted very good. Great stay.
