The staff went above and beyond when I left my envelope of cash behind. They contacted me promptly and transferred the money straight away, which deserves extra appreciation. I stayed for two nights, and the room and service were clean and neat. It’s easy to reach from Salerno train station, and I felt safe in the area.

The owner was kind and took time to handle my request, and the room was clean. Getting around was easy too, with the train station a two-minute walk away and the boat dock about seven minutes on foot. I had a good stay :)

The room was in great shape, with a modern, almost-new bathroom, very comfortable mattresses, and an air conditioner that worked brilliantly in the heat. Breakfast came as vouchers for a nearby cafe. The owner only takes cash, so bring enough to cover any fees you still owe. Arranging arrival took some effort because the owner wasn't always there. We had to find a receptionist who could reach her and tell her we'd arrived. Nobody spoke English, so we communicated using Google Translate. It was manageable, but the organization could be better. Parking was unusual. We first found a small garage a block from the hotel, then parked in the owner's storage unit-like space, where two other cars were also kept. You need to tell her when you want your car so she can move hers out of the way. It can be confusing, especially with the language barrier.

There are shops, restaurants and cafes all around, so there's loads of choice. The train station is a three-minute walk away, the beach is six minutes away, and the port for Amalfi coast trips takes about half an hour to reach on foot. The beach is quiet and nice, with black sand and a few rocks. There's also a pool about a ten-minute walk away where you can rent a day pass for €7, though it closes in October. Our triple room was really spacious, quieter and more comfortable for a longer stay. The rooms are modern, spotless and great value. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, although they speak very little English, so we got by with Google Translate. We'll learn more Italian for our next visit. Breakfast is at a nearby cafe: croissants, coffee and fresh juice, all good quality and typical for here. We're glad we booked and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. We'll be back!
