I really enjoyed staying at Mascia 14. It’s nicely furnished and right in the city centre, so both the station and the historic centre are easy to reach.

We were two older couples, aged 65 and 71, and found Mascia 14 easy to locate. The host provided the details for a simple self check-in. The apartment is spacious and airy, with high ceilings and screens on the windows. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. There’s heating, though the air conditioning is only in the living room and we didn’t use it. We had what we needed to cook, including glasses, two wine glasses, and an opener. Nearby supermarkets came in handy for groceries. The bathroom has a sink, laundry basin, and a washer-dryer. Everything was very clean and in excellent working order. The apartment has lovely details, like USB ports above the bed headboard and nice pictures. I missed having smaller pans, but the ones there were enough for us. It’s on the second floor, with three flights of stairs to climb with luggage, so keep that in mind. Still, I strongly recommend it. It’s a great base for exploring the Amalfi Coast, which is amazing.

For four people, this was the best apartment we could have stayed in in Salerno: comfortable and lovely, with outstanding hospitality. It’s very close to the city’s main attractions. I highly recommend it for a Salerno holiday.
