The hostel is in a great spot, close to the ferries to and from Capri, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Staff speak English without any trouble and know the local area well, so they can help with vacation questions and suggestions. The building has character as a 12th-century convent. The elevator was retrofitted and is slow, but the bathroom facilities were nice, and there was a hairdryer to use.

The hostel sits on a tiny square among sloping stone streets. Rooms on the upper floors are reached by elevator, and each room has its own bathroom with a shower. There's floor heating for winter and a ceiling fan for summer. Breakfast is self-service, from 7am to 10am. A lovely hostel.

The architecture is amazing, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's right in the historic town, so everything is walkable. The rooms, though, are very simple and old.

We only stayed one night and had our two-year-old baby with us. Our room had a double bed, a single bed at the side, and its own toilet. It was basically clean, with a nice view over the Old Town roofs and the sea, as you can see in the pictures. Breakfast ran from 07:30 till 10:00: croissants, cereal, milk, coffee, orange juice, jam, butter, melba toast, and bread. Cappuccino and latte were available too. The hostel has an elevator that reaches the 4th and top floor, and it's well placed for the old town alleys and the seaside walk.

The room was a decent size and had an extra bed, a TV, and a good bathroom with amenities. It's no top hotel in Italy for a Russian oligarch, but it does the job quite well and cheaply for an average broke traveler.
