The room itself was a good deal for the price, and the service was decent. Ours faced the main road and had plenty of space for our family of four, plus working AC. The host was gracious, left some basics for breakfast and toiletries, and cleaned while we were out. When we struggled with the door, she was downstairs in the restaurant in the evening and came to help. Make sure you learn how to unlock it, though. We were there only a day and a half and still couldn't get it open on our own. Getting there was a bit of a shock. The BnB is down an alley with trash around, and the check-in time was really late. The alley had been cleared by the next day, so I don't blame the owner for that. The location wasn't ideal either: it's a 20-minute walk to the ferry for the Amalfi coast, and the small public beach opposite was dirty. People there were lovely, though. I love Italians, such a friendly bunch. It's a working-class neighborhood, and we couldn't find good non-Italian vegetarian food. The room was still a good, cheaper option than staying on Amalfi.

I liked the place, but there was no heat at all. The radiators didn't work, and neither did the heated towel rail. How can they charge €60 a night when there's no comfort? If Sandra likes it cold, that's her choice, but I don't. I'd only stay here in summer.

We were driving from Cosenza and called for directions once we got near Salerno at 4:30 PM. Mrs. Sandra then told us the room was no longer available because of a bathroom issue she had found that morning. She offered her daughter's room, or the same room with her daughter's bathroom. Couldn't she have called us that morning? We canceled and found another place. If we hadn't called, would we have learned only after the concert, stuck downtown or worse? Congratulations!
