The stay was a huge disappointment and a waste of money. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this accommodation. The shower and its door were broken, there was visible mold on the walls, the tiles were cracked as shown in the photo, and the terrace was filthy, with the table and chairs in terrible condition. The Booking website said breakfast was included, and the hostess confirmed this in public replies. I'd also read reviews mentioning croissants and coffee, which would've been enough, but we were offered none of that. When I asked, I was told breakfast wasn't in the price and that I could pay for snacks from the vending machine. I tried to get water, paid twice, and still didn't receive a bottle. Veronica never said she'd refund me. Wi-Fi was promised when I booked. It was there, but barely worked in the room, so I had to use mobile data. I was told the room would be cleaned every two days and the linens changed every three. On the scheduled cleaning day, Veronica was in the apartment, but all I got was a roll of toilet paper. They didn't take out the trash or do anything else. The room was cleaned on day five, only after I messaged to ask when it would happen. There was no apology, just an explanation that Veronica had dental work and the cleaner would come the next day. Things happen, but this wasn't responsible. I wasn't given advance notice, and the room could have been cleaned earlier.

We had a confirmed Booking.com reservation for a double room, made a few days ahead, and the payment had already been taken. Yet when we arrived at the B&B, we called and were told every room was occupied and they'd only just noticed our booking. I find that absurd. It was 10:00 PM, we'd spent an hour driving around looking for parking, and we were standing there with all our luggage and nowhere to stay. We had to find another B&B at the last minute and pay more than triple. The people there seemed incompetent and very arrogant. The one good thing was that they refunded the amount we'd paid quickly.

The B&B is well kept and the host was helpful. We thought breakfast might be more substantial after reading such enthusiastic reviews, but the owner promptly arranged breakfast at the bar across the street for our second day. The croissant and cappuccino were delicious, and I'd recommend them. Our room faced a busy road, so it was noisy at night even with the windows shut. The bathroom was outside the room, which was inconvenient, though we knew that beforehand. The location is handy, near the seafront and shops, close to the center, and about 20 minutes from the ferry terminal. If you're flexible, you can make it work.

The room was simple, clean, and romantic, with lovely decor in a historic building. Those big windows won me over, and the breakfast room was comfortable. Breakfast was basic: coffee, tea, herbal teas, milk, juices, biscuits, and snacks. The sideboard's mix of antique and modern cups was really cute. Mrs. Veronica was kind and gave us all the information we needed for our travel and schedule. We'll be back. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica, and Forza Salernitana! 😉😘

Our stay in Salerno became even more memorable thanks to this B&B, and we'll definitely come back. It's in a charming historic building practically on the seafront, with a gorgeous house and spacious, welcoming, well-furnished rooms. Our room was roomy too, and the bathroom was perfect. Breakfast was generous and high quality, and the hospitality was unparalleled. The place was even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Best wishes to Lucia, see you soon.
