Borgo il Mezzanino

The grounds are immaculate, and the tiny pool turned out to be crazy fun for our four-year-old. We loved the soft sheets and the tastefully decorated rooms, too. Breakfast was delicious, with the things we ordered brought to us. It had that Italian charm you usually see in movies. Thanks to the staff and owners for such a lovely stay!

We rented the whole villa at Borgo Mezzanino for our wedding guests, and the team made the experience incredible. Cinzia and everyone on staff were so helpful and accommodating. On the wedding morning, my bridal party and I got ready there, and they even opened a larger room so the hair and makeup artists would have space. Our guests can't stop talking about how beautiful the Villa is, and my pre-wedding photos are breathtaking. What a stunning venue. Big thanks and love to the team. We hope to come back someday! Lake Garda's view is incomparable, and the green spaces are lovely. The villa itself is beautiful, with tasteful interiors, spotless rooms, and excellent breakfast. Service was very nice, and the hotel is generally very dog-friendly. We’d be happy to return. My one small criticism is that the whirlpool and sauna cost extra. Grazie Mille

The garden is beautifully cared for, and the setting is lovely. I wish the rooms got the same attention. We paid 225€ a night with a discount, so I feel for anyone paying the full price. The walls are extremely thin, and we could hear the neighbours as if we were in a cheap roadside hotel. The mattresses were perhaps the worst part: inconsistent, with our feet ending up outside the sheets and my back hurting in the morning because I’d sunk into a hole. There were ants in the sheets, and the bathroom was barely clean. The shower flow kept changing, so we had to be patient. On top of that, the cleaner left a wet towel on my pullover. Bravo. At breakfast, you have to write down what you want for the next morning. I understand the idea, but at 225€ a night I expect a continental buffet. The man doing nearly all the work was friendly and professional, though. They advertise lots of activities and amenities, but the pool is only 4,5 square meters and the spa costs an extra 95€, with reservations required. We had to search for the activities ourselves, since nothing except the spa was mentioned at check-in. We raised our concerns on the first day and got no real support, just a suggestion to book the suite for 500€ a night. No way. The quality for the price was nowhere near right, and we felt robbed. I don't recommend it and won't be back anytime soon. Being greeted in German several times was also a bad start, and felt symptomatic of the southern areas around Lake Garda. We're not German, and we're in Italy.
