Agriturismo Antica Torre

The food, setting, service, and general atmosphere were all top notch. The bedroom leans a little old fashioned, but that gives it some charm. If you’re near Parma or planning a trip there and want to stay in the countryside, Antica Torre is a lovely place. I’d say go ahead and book.

The staff were perfect, and the rooms were good. Dinner is really worth trying, and you can get all the wines by the glass.

We spent five nights here and would definitely return. Daniella and Emmanuel were wonderful hosts, ready to help and full of useful suggestions for places we wanted to see, including Cinque Terre. They were also happy to arrange wine and food tours. We were staying at the agriturismo, not in the tower. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with a lovely pool and lounge area. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed, including extra blankets and electrical outlets. Food was a highlight: dinner was fantastic, and we kept asking for seconds. They were thoughtful about dietary needs and worked with vegetarian guests and people with specific allergies. Breakfast went beyond the usual Italian spread. There were the standard breads, cheeses, and jams, plus farm fresh eggs and coffee. The location was great too, close to Salsomaggiore and Parma and not far from a large shopping mall. I’d recommend Antica Torre to anyone.

The food was spectacular, served in a warm, cozy setting, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. The 100 year old villa has a charming feel that takes you back to Italy in the old days. I’d return in a heartbeat.
