Il Cantuccio Suite

My husband surprised me with a stay in the Venere Suite. We were welcomed with a drink, a bottle of prosecco and some delicious appetizers. The room had its own sauna and whirlpool, and everything had been thought through down to the smallest detail. Even the spotless bathroom had disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste. The staff were friendly and attentive, and brought both dinner and breakfast to our room. It's a lovely choice for a romantic break or just some time to relax. Excellent value, and we'll definitely return.

Alessandro welcomed us kindly and discreetly, and was courteous and available throughout our stay. Fernando also deserves special thanks for the wonderful relaxing massage he gave us in our room, so discreetly and professionally. I treated my partner to a stay in the EVA suite, and it lived up to my expectations. The suites are thoughtfully furnished in a modern style and look beautiful, though space feels a little tight when the tub is open. The retractable whirlpool tub is stunning and very comfortable to relax in, with its soft surface. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely come back. My only suggestion is to make streaming sites easier and quicker to access on the TV.

This was my second stay, and you can really notice the price difference over time. I still highly recommend the place for an alternative weekend with your partner. It's intimate, welcoming and very relaxing, with well-maintained rooms and kind, helpful staff. There are lots of bars and places to visit nearby.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Salsomaggiore, with several rooms created in different styles where you can relax for a few hours. Ours had a 1960s look. We arrived to find an aperitif in the room, with two glasses of wine. There was a wet bar with coffee pods, a milk frother for cappuccino and different herbal teas, plus a minibar with water, milk and yogurt. The small terrace had a table and chairs. Under the double bed was a clean, comfortable PVC whirlpool tub that slides out. You fill it with a few inches of water to relax, then pull the plug to empty it and slide it back under the bed. The bathroom had towels, bars of soap, shower gel and a toothbrush and toothpaste in case someone forgot theirs. You can book a relaxing massage in your room, though we didn't try it. For food, they sent a menu over WhatsApp with starters, main courses, sides and dessert, as well as a pizza menu. We ordered pizza to the room and really enjoyed it. Checkout was at 12:00, so there was time to take things slowly in the morning.
