Country Hotel Le Querce

We stopped here for one night on our way back to Holland. The hotel is idyllic, with a lovely pool and plenty of parking. We weren’t especially taken with the surrounding area, though the old themae building is pretty. The room was clean and solid, with good air conditioning, but the bed felt too hard for us. We could also hear noise near the reception stairs, voices from the room above coming through the air conditioning vent, and heavy footsteps early in the morning. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was the best we had across five places in two weeks, with slow-cooked eggs, fresh bread, and good pastries. We also enjoyed the thick pizza at dinner, which was really one of a kind. For the price, it’s a nice place for a night.

The pool and bar were marvellous, the air conditioning worked well, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Italian breakfast is the standard, though you can also get a continental one. We had a couple of small annoyances: the shower doors didn’t shut properly and water flooded the bathroom, and the WiFi signal was weak. Still, an easy five stars.

A comfortable bed in a decent room, and friendly staff. Breakfast had a good spread: breads, jams, toast, a sandwich maker, cheese, cold cuts, eggs, croissants, Nutella, fruit, and more. A nice hidden gem.

The rooms were very nice, the pool was lovely, and the air conditioning worked well. Staff were friendly and happy to help. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, though it would have been nice to see more local products at breakfast.
