Grand Hotel Regina

Some rooms are okay, but others are awful, like something from a horror movie. A friend of ours got a room with a wall literally falling apart, stuff left behind by previous guests, and a toilet full of poop. The place was really dirty, and the food was disgusting. We tried everything, but much of it looked old and moldy. Only one dish was okay, the pasta. If you have nowhere else to stay, bring alcohol, cleaning supplies, and whatever else you need to sleep there. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.

Hair in the bath and toilet, barely any toilet paper, floors that hadn’t been vacuumed, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. I gagged in there and spent the night hoping it would end. We were only there one night, and I barely slept. The food was cold and unpleasant too. The soup was all right, but I left after what came next. Portions were small, and it looked as if dinner had been prepared for 30 people and then served to 50. Maybe the price is on the low side, but I’d rather pay more for a better stay. The only good part was leaving. 0/10.

The rooms are run down and feel more like student hostel rooms than what you’d expect in a four-star hotel in a magnificent old palace. There aren’t enough staff, and the ones there weren’t very helpful. I know what Italian breakfast is like, but what they served here was beyond criticism. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in.

The bathroom was dirty, and it seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I found used cotton swabs in a drawer, which made me feel sick. It’s a beautiful old building, and a little effort could go a long way.
