The cleanliness was good, and there’s a great pizza restaurant nearby, just down the road and to the left. But I can’t recommend the hotel. My balcony room reservation was switched to one of the cheap, basic rooms on the fourth floor. They looked old and nothing like the website photos. Staff said the air conditioning in my booked room wasn’t working, but I’ve never had a room issue used to justify a downgrade before. They only offered a discount after I pointed out that these rooms cost much less. It felt like they hoped I wouldn’t notice. The air conditioning in the room I got barely cooled it, and I slept terribly. Staff just said it had been a hot day. It was 36 degrees outside, and at 10 p.m. the room still wasn’t any cooler. In fact, it was cooler outdoors. The old beds had springs I could feel through the sheets, and the shower was poor and needs a new shower head. The staff’s overall attitude was terrible.

The location was peaceful, which made it easy to relax. Breakfast was really tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful. An excellent hotel.

We were glad we only stayed one night. The hotel was clean, though it clearly needs investment before it falls apart. Check-in was a bit complicated because the woman at the desk didn’t speak English.
