Ostello del Po

The meat was exceptional, and the children and adults in our group were all very happy. There were about thirty of us for a May Day barbecue, children included, and the rain meant we had to use the indoor dining room instead of sitting outside. The Ostello del Po worked perfectly, with clean, welcoming space and staff who were very helpful. They handled everything for the meat. Thanks again to Erica, Emidio, his son, and the excellent chef.

Run away, this place was terrible. It was filthy, with bugs even under the pillows, and unbearably hot with no window screens. A noisy autoclave in the stairwell ran constantly, even overnight. The prices were high for squat toilets and a shower where cockroaches were at your feet. I have photos!

We spent two days and one night at the hostel, with around twenty friends. There was plenty of room to celebrate, including a big kitchen and a garden with benches and space to move around. The dorm rooms had bunk beds, and there were bathrooms, showers, and everything needed for the hangover. Approved on all counts!

We were a thousand kilometers from home and still felt at home here. The property is surrounded by greenery, with spacious, welcoming rooms and a generous breakfast. The two young owners were very helpful, and dinner there was excellent too. We stayed for two days after reading the reviews and had a wonderful time.
