Hotel President

Top-notch.

Our three-year-old was excited to join the baby dance each evening, and getting around was easy. The beach was a few minutes away on foot, with an umbrella, sun lounger, and deckchair included. We could also use the hotel bikes for free and ride the lovely seafront path into town, or take the city bus, which runs all night and connects conveniently to the center of San Benedetto del Tronto. We stayed from August 17th to 25th, two adults and our child, on an all-inclusive plan, and came away very happy. The hotel felt welcoming, clean, and organized, and the staff were kind and available. The waiters were courteous and happy to handle requests, including food intolerances and special meals for our child. A special thanks to our waiter Christian!! Meals were a highlight. Breakfast had a broad sweet and savory buffet; lunch and dinner offered a choice of three first courses and three second courses at the table, plus a generous spread of appetizers, sides, fresh fruit, and sorbets. Portions were big and the quality was excellent. Our room was simple, comfortable, and clean, with a modern, practical bathroom that had recently been renovated. The large terrace was great for relaxing outside. It was a magical family holiday, and we felt at home. We’ll definitely return!

The food was a real strength: a good buffet and excellent first and second courses, with both meat and fish. Service in the dining room seemed a little inexperienced, while the night porter was helpful and the housekeeping gets a 7/10. The bike service was excellent, and the hotel has its own parking lot. The children’s play equipment needs attention, since it’s very worn and unusable. You can reach the seafront in a two-minute walk. The hotel works well, though some renovation would help its appearance. The owner, a very experienced lady, was professional and polite. I’d have liked a little more attention from some of the other owners, even just a greeting.

The Ferragosto celebration was something special, with Valeria taking care of every detail. We had another wonderful holiday at Hotel President and will certainly return next year. Coming back feels a bit like being home with family. Mrs. Paola, the backbone of the hotel, and her children Valeria and Giacomo are always ready to help and accommodate requests. Everyone on staff was smiling and kind, from the cleaning ladies to the young dining room waiters, who were all well trained. The cooking was excellent and varied: the fish was done beautifully, and some of the meat dishes were delicious too. The plentiful buffet at the dining room entrance was always stocked.
