We were only at Serra Pernice for two days, yet it quickly became one of my favorite places. The pool looks out over the Sicani Mountains, and the view is stunning. Enrico, Leonarda, and little Miriam greeted us so warmly that we felt at home; even our dog, Cristina, was treated like a princess. Their place has a magical, almost mystical feel, especially the little natural amphitheater Enrico made, which is lovely for meditation and finding some peace. The Andromeda Theater is only about 25 minutes away, where it feels like heaven and earth come together. Leonarda's marmalade, made with organic oranges from Enrico's land, was a lovely start to the day. If you want to be close to nature and enjoy the simplicity of the place, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The pool is huge and well cared for, and everything was clean and peaceful. The owners make you feel at home, and the owner cooks generous portions with real chef's skill. They have all the comforts you need for a great stay. I'll definitely come back.

Enrico and Leonarda made us feel very welcome 😀. We picked tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, and eggplant with Enrico from their own garden, and Leonarda made us delicious pasta. Our clean room looked either toward the sunrise over the surrounding nature or toward the pool and landscape. The hotel is tucked away near San Biagio Platani, surrounded by nature. In the evenings San Biagio Platani comes to life, and the locals are friendly and truly interested in getting to know you. Highly recommended!

The owners were kind and the food was good, but I absolutely wouldn't recommend staying here. The road in was awful, and the property felt run-down, with very little cleanliness or maintenance. There were no towels in the room apart from one shower towel, and the hairdryer that was supposed to be there was missing. There was no air conditioning, and sitting outside in the heat meant dealing with swarms of wasps. The pool is above ground.

This is the real Sicily, a full working farm where you can watch the produce being grown, prepared, and eaten. It's peaceful, the food is excellent, and I'd recommend visiting.
