Hotel Stadio

We were turned away from dinner in the middle of summer because I was wearing a singlet. It's a nice place, but the way we were treated was really rude. I'd strongly suggest finding somewhere else to stay in the area.

The one positive was that our room and the hotel were clean. We booked two rooms, but the air conditioning wasn't working in either one. The bathroom fans didn't work either, which was really inconvenient after showering, and the windows were stuck shut so we couldn't get fresh air. The fridge was broken too. The wellness center and pool were closed, the latter for construction, and the restaurant only opened for breakfast. None of the advertised facilities were working.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff barely spoke English, and some didn't speak it at all. They felt free to shout at you in Italian over rules that weren't written anywhere. The air conditioning was a joke, a fan would have done three times as much. The cleaning staff were the only ones doing their job properly, although the bathroom floor was sticky, so I'm not sure what to make of that. At least they were the only staff who didn't make me want to leave as fast as possible.

Our room had visible black mold beside the window, which could be a serious health risk. We checked in late at night, so we couldn't inspect the room right away. The management shouldn't have given that room to guests when the mold was so obvious. The drink vending machines weren't stocked or working properly either. Look for another hotel and avoid this one.
