Breathtaking views and an owner who was exceptionally kind and helpful. This is a real gem in the Val d'Orcia, peaceful and authentic. I’d highly recommend it if you want to relax. It’s one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever stayed.

It’s a pleasure to come back here, and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to enjoy unspoiled nature. The sky is wonderfully free of artificial light, with stars to admire on nights beyond San Lorenzo too. From this genuine agriturismo in a sought-after part of the Val d'Orcia, you can easily get to other picturesque towns. The place itself feels special, with exceptional views, a refined atmosphere, and a unique accommodation. The hospitality and warm welcome make it unforgettable.

Bring cash, because there’s no POS. Shouldn’t that be mandatory? When we booked, the lady confirmed the place was nearby, but it was actually quite far away, both geographically and in reality. Her welcome was courteous and helpful, which makes it a shame to write this. The rooms were decent and set apart from the main building, but they seemed poorly maintained. The bathroom door wouldn’t latch, there was no key, and the rooms got quite cold at night. We also had to sleep three in a double bed, even though we paid full price for the 12-year-old child. The owner’s rudeness is the reason this place, despite being charming and quite isolated, left such a bad impression. Her son was rude and aggressive when we raised problems, immediately accusing us of not wanting to pay. If you do go, hope everything works out and maybe you’ll have a good time. I can’t recommend it.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the location has breathtaking views. The surrounding area is well worth exploring, including the thermal baths. For dinner with traditional food, try the "La Pace" restaurant in Celle sul Rigo. For a tasty breakfast, Signor Arturo's excellent pastry shop at the Il Campanile bar in the center of San Casciano dei Bagni. A short break I’d happily repeat.
