The rooms were warm, elegant, and very comfortable, and the care throughout Borgo Montefreddo was clear. We spent a particularly lovely New Year’s Eve there, surrounded by the quiet of the Tuscan hills, with beauty and calm all around from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh croissants each morning and excellent local products, served with a level of attention you don’t often find. The intimate, refined aperitif and artisan panettone from a high-end pastry shop made the stay feel even more special. It’s a place that feels restorative, where you can slow down and take in the real Tuscany. We’ll remember the experience and hope to come back soon.

Casa Chianella had plenty of room for our three couples, with three large bedrooms, each with its own washroom and shower. The pool sits on the edge of the hill, with wide open views. From every window, we could see across the hilltops. It’s also a handy base for driving to Montalcino, Montepulciano, Siena, Florence, and other places. Tuscany is beautiful!

The pool was spectacular, with panoramic views over greenery and complete quiet, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We spent a night at this beautiful agriturismo and found everything thoughtfully taken care of, right down to the smallest details. Our spacious room looked out over the garden, and breakfast was excellent, with sweet and savory choices. It has all the amenities, and the location works well for visiting nearby villages. We’ll gladly recommend it to friends and family, and plan to return for another relaxing getaway.
