Pasquale and Carmen make you feel right at home, always ready to help. You can tell how much care goes into the agriturismo. They started this life over thirty years ago, when leaving the city and a secure job wasn’t yet the fashionable choice it is now, and their commitment still shows in the day-to-day work. The evening terrace was such a nice place to unwind and listen to the cicadas. Our room was lovely, rustic, and furnished with real care. It didn’t have all the latest modern comforts, which suited the rural feel just fine. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly and shown to the room. Even in the heat, Carmen thoughtfully mentioned that extra blankets were in the wardrobe if we wanted them. Carmen and Pasquale offered to show us their wine cellar, and we were happy to go. Carmen walked us through how they make the wine and patiently answered everything we asked. She was especially patient while I translated it all into German for my partner, which made the tour longer than planned. We tasted their Cabernet Sauvignon, which was delicious, then bought some bottles. We were so taken with the wines that we picked up more before leaving. The San Giovese was divine! Carmen was also a great help when we asked about restaurants. She even called the one she recommended and reserved a table for us. We were so glad we chose this place, and would love to enjoy Carmen and her family’s hospitality again. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

A quiet place to get away from the city, not far from Florence and well placed for Siena. The owners were so kind and helpful, and gave me a tour of their winery. Thanks, and see you next time.
