Hotel Residence Dolcenero

When we arrived, we were given a room with fairly small windows. We asked to change rooms, but were told there were no others, so we accepted it. Then we noticed the bed linen was wrinkled, or at least very poorly ironed. When we complained, the receptionist said they knew nothing about it because the cleaning service had handled it. We accepted that too. After bringing in our luggage, we accidentally left the key in the lock on the outside. We couldn't open the door or get out. The receptionist didn't answer our call, so we banged on the door in case someone might hear us. About fifteen minutes later, the receptionist was walking by while showing other guests their rooms and heard us. She couldn't open the door from the outside either. It was a large, heavy metal burglar-proof door with three security locks. They only managed to get it open after another fifteen minutes. We were shaken by the thought of a fire or some other emergency while locked in a room we couldn't open. We asked again to change rooms. After consulting someone by phone, the receptionist said they had no other rooms because everything was booked. We decided not to stay at the hotel, even though we'd paid in advance, and left. We requested a full refund through the booking platform, explaining all of these problems. The hotel refused, saying we had used the room normally. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it.
