Hotel Best Western Park Hotel Continental

It's a nice hotel, but I can never book a room using my loyalty points. Whenever I want to spend them, I have to book another Best Western along my route. Strange.

The location is far from everything, with no markets, restaurants, or cafes nearby. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, but the breakfast was very limited, and the small breakfast area had poor ventilation. I only stayed one night, so I can't really comment on the service. The only person I saw was the receptionist when I picked up the key ☺️.

I gave up after spending two hours trying to talk to an unfriendly manager who shouted and wouldn't let me speak. I went to the hotel across the street instead, where a very friendly family ran the place. There, my 7-year-old child was allowed to sleep for free in the same large bed as us. At this hotel, I had booked a triple room with one single bed and one double bed for two adults and one child. When we arrived, they demanded extra payment because children over four are considered adults there. The site says children up to 3 years old can sleep free in their parents' bed. That doesn't say older children count as adults, only that you'd need to book a triple room. The booking site doesn't even ask the child's age at check-in, it assigns a triple room when you enter the number of guests. So I was charged twice for the same thing, once for the triple room and again because they considered my 7-year-old an adult. How can a 4-year-old be an adult? Awful experience.

The free parking was large, one of the few things I liked. The rooms were average and pretty worn out, and breakfast was a real disappointment. I understand the Corona situation, but even now other hotels in Italy serve a buffet. Here, you get just a few slices of ham through a hole in a plexiglass divider.
