I booked two rooms more than a month ahead for my family to stay two days. Since the property was close to my house, I ignored the bad reviews. I sent the agreed bank transfer 15 days before their arrival. Then, just three days before, the manager texted that the rooms were no longer available because “some guests broke the shower door.” I said the door didn’t matter as long as everything else was in order, but he kept making excuses. I had to find another place at the last minute, pay more, and stay two kilometers away because nearby hotels were either full or unsuitable. It caused a lot of hassle while traveling. In my experience, professionalism and reliability are essential in hospitality, and this manager was completely unreliable. I’d advise anyone planning to book here to avoid it, as you may end up looking for alternatives at the last minute.

The first time I stayed, I was shocked by how sparse the furnishings were and that I couldn’t watch television. On my second visit, I was told the day before that the shower doors were missing, so I wouldn’t be able to use them. A technician came the next day to install them, but they couldn’t be used until the day after that. I only got to shower on the third day, when I was leaving. On top of that unpleasant hassle, the manager was arrogant. He said I could shower on the first day and dry the floor with a rag, which I’d have to ask him for. The TV signal was intermittent too.

Villa Life could be a decent option if you need to stay near Milan, and the single room was clean. But at 184 cm tall and 105 kg, I found it too small. The bathroom was basically nonexistent, separated from the room only by a half-height plasterboard partition. The shower was so small I wouldn’t have fit if I’d had a bit of a stomach. There was no bidet either. And if an ad says there’s parking, it should be on the property; otherwise it should say street parking.

A beautiful place, looked after down to the smallest detail. One of the best places to stay.
